Andaman and Nicobar Islands is a union territory of India consisting of 572 islands, of which only 38 are inhabited. It is situated at the junction of the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea. BY AIR
The Andaman Islands have numerous flights flying from the mainland for the transfers of passengers and necessary goods. Indian’s have no permit restrictions for Andaman. The quickest way to reach Andaman is by flight. There are direct flights to Andaman from Kolkata, Bangaluru, and Chennai approximating 2.5 hours of travel time. Connecting flights to these destinations are available from most other cities. Flights from Delhi fly via Chennai or Kolkata and take around 5 hours.
BY SEA
